BLUE VELOCITY PICTURES
OVERVIEW
Blue. The color of Krishna, the meaning of my Indian-origin name, "Megha". Velocity. Speed, momentum, direction, propulsion.
Blue Velocity seeks to tell stories from diverse voices, with propulsive narratives, spanning all genres and mediums.
The focus of the company used to solely be feature films from South Asian diaspora filmmakers, and female filmmakers. The theatrical features RASPBERRY MAGIC, MISS INDIA AMERICA, and THE TIGER HUNTER, were my first forays into"all-in" feature film producing, telling South Asian-American stories with strong female cast and crew, and securing notable festival runs, theatrical distribution, as well as streaming on all major platforms.
As storytelling possibilities have grown, both in terms of technology, and distribution platforms, Blue Velocity seeks to expand its own oeuvre, incorporating more diverse talent for wider, global audiences, as well as expanding its focus beyond just feature films.
Blue Velocity's new slate includes genre-spanning feature films in active development, docu-series for television and streaming, and cross-media narratives, all with a focus on breaking down barriers with fresh perspectives on storytelling tropes.
